    Using Fonus has been quite

Using Fonus has been quite a mixed bag for me. The tech support team is on point, always ready to help out, which is great because the app itself is a bit of a rollercoaster. It's a solid choice for saving money, but if you're a business traveler, be ready to spend some time figuring out the local network settings. Fonus promises an "auto network" feature soon, which should make things a lot easier. The texting interface feels a bit dated, and I miss the ease of my phone's native texting app. On the bright side, the new native dialer integration is a win, but getting it set up was a bit of a headache. Overall, it’s a work in progress, but worth checking out for the value.

I've been using this service for

I've been using this service for around 1.5 years. Things took a turn when they revamped their services. Billing became a big issue, with some folks not getting refunds from the old system but still being charged. Plus, the service didn't even function properly in South America, so I had to switch to another service for that area. And let's talk about customer service. Initially, they were friendly, but lately, their attitude has become quite snooty, like they always think they're right and you're wrong. Take the network system, for instance. I had to manually select my network every time I crossed the US/Canada border. Before, customer service would give me carrier names for my trips to Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan. But now, they just say it'll happen automatically without giving me the info I need (especially since I had to reload my app for another issue). Makes me wonder if I'm talking to a real person or some AI!

    It's a mixed bag

I recently tried out this service, attracted by its decent pricing and the promise of international coverage. While it does connect globally, the quality of international calls can be a bit of a letdown. There's this annoying delay that sometimes pops up, making conversations harder than they should be. And the internet? Not the best. I mean, we're talking low speeds and a high ping, which is strange since I'm in Canada, but the servers are based in Texas. It's like they're trying to make things hard on purpose! The connection just isn't reliable, and even simple WhatsApp calls drop more often than I'd like. It's a mixed bag, really. Feels like they need to sort these issues out.

    Really mixed experience

I recently had a mixed experience with a company while planning my trip to Taiwan. I got a SIM card for roaming, and it worked great, no issues there. But here's where it gets tricky: I ordered two SIM cards, but only one showed up. I tried contacting support for weeks, hoping to get the second one or at least a refund. No luck there, just a lot of unhelpful responses. They wouldn’t refund me for the missing card, which was really frustrating. The missing card wasn't a huge cost, but the whole hassle left me feeling let down and hesitant to trust this company again.

I've been with Fonus for a few years... the service is mostly fine, though there are occasional issues. Lately, I couldn't reach my texts, call log, contacts, or the dialer in the Fonus app. I contacted them through chat and email. They fixed it after about 5 hours of trying different "solutions" ... often removing and adding the app again. But after one day, the same problems came back. Once more, I spent hours trying to fix it.. still no luck fixing it so far.

People have said that their calls drop and get choppy a lot with this service. Lots of issues with the connection; sometimes you can barely hear or be heard. This seems to be because of problems with the pings. It's not just me noticing this—many others on various sites have said the same.

    I jumped on the Fonus

I jumped on the Fonus bandwagon a couple of months back, thinking it was the perfect solution for my travels. Initially, everything was smooth sailing with solid performance worldwide. But then things took a turn for the worse. Suddenly, I found myself struggling to connect whenever I changed locations, no matter how many times I rebooted or double-checked my settings. And when it did connect, the speeds were painfully slow, barely reaching 2 Mbps. Imagine trying to catch an Uber at a foreign airport or dropping out of an important Zoom call because your internet just won't cooperate. It's frustrating. I've tested other eSIMs in the exact same spots and they easily hit 500 Mbps. Fonus seemed like a great idea, but it just doesn’t deliver when it counts.

I jumped on board with a new service, got myself a SIM card, but hit a wall when it came to getting it up and running. Their chat support kept me waiting for 20 minutes, only to lead me down a rabbit hole of confusion for hours. They didn’t know my device, and troubleshooting stretched out to 10 hours across multiple days without any service. Running my business without a phone for 2 days was a nightmare. After finally getting a QR code for an esim, things still didn't work. I asked for a refund, but, surprise! No refunds, as per their terms. I felt belittled by support, who insisted I was at fault. If they improve their app and service, maybe they’ll be worth a look in a couple of years. Until then, steer clear.

    I thought I'd give Fonus

I thought I'd give Fonus a try for my mobile plan in the USA, but it turned out to be a huge letdown. The service is incredibly slow and definitely doesn’t run well on the Verizon network. I signed up for the $50 unlimited high-speed data plan, expecting seamless browsing, but after just 20 days and about 1GB/day, my speed was slashed drastically. The so-called "fair use policy" limits you to a snail-paced 512 kbps, but realistically, it's more like 200 kbps. Customer support was no help at all, just a waste of time. And the app? Total disaster, it’s essential for calls and texts but barely functions. If you’re thinking about Fonus, I’d strongly advise against it. You're not getting what you pay for.

    I decided to try out

I decided to try out a FONUS eSIM on my Android, hoping for a smooth experience. Instead, it was a nightmare. The connection would pop up for a few seconds and then vanish, causing my battery to drain super fast. I reached out to their support, and while they were quick to respond, they couldn't fix the problem. Frustrated, I ditched the eSIM and switched providers—no issues there! A few weeks passed, and since I never actually used the service, I asked for a refund. The support guy just told me to reinstall the eSIM, even though it was a bust from day one. In short, don't bother with FONUS. It's unreliable, the support doesn't really help, and forget about getting your money back.

    I thought I'd give this

I thought I'd give this company a try, thinking it might be a budget-friendly option. Big mistake! The app is a mess, constantly crashing and making calls sound like I'm talking through a tin can. Seriously, the call quality is horrendous, dropping calls left and right. And don't get me started on their "customer service"—it's like talking to a wall! They hide behind a chat system, and when you finally get someone, they’re clueless and never follow up. It's frustrating beyond belief. I saw some reviews disappear, which makes me wonder what they’re hiding. I regret even thinking about porting my number; it’s a nightmare. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this company.

    So, I thought I was

So, I thought I was making a simple purchase for $29.99, but turns out it was a sneaky subscription. There was no sign of this during checkout—no terms, no mention of renewal, nothing. After noticing the charge, I tried to cancel and get a refund, explaining I didn't agree to any recurring payments. But the company wouldn't budge. It's really frustrating when a company isn't upfront about these things. They should make it clear if something's a subscription and offer an easy way to cancel. This whole experience feels like they're hiding the truth and not respecting customers' rights. It's a lesson learned, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

    So, I had this wild

So, I had this wild experience with this phone plan, right? You shell out for the pricey package thinking you’ll get all these blazing fast speeds. But guess what? After hitting 35GB, they slow you down to a crawl at 450kbps for the rest of the month. Meanwhile, other companies usually reset their speeds every 24 hours. They have all this flashy info on their site that makes everything sound amazing, but it's really not what you think. And don't even get me started on their customer support—it’s like talking to a brick wall. If you really want a decent service, Roamify is the way to go. They only slow you down to 5mbps, which is way more reasonable.

I've been sticking with Fonus for a couple years now, always thought their support was top-notch and never had any issues. Then outta the blue, I get this email saying they cut off my service for "breach of contract." Like, what? I haven't changed anything in two years. They're claiming I used my phone to replace home internet and for business stuff. Honestly, if I'm paying for data and service, shouldn't I be able to use it as I want? It’s frustrating

I recently tried this digital number service, hoping for a seamless experience. To my surprise, it was quite the opposite. Turns out, it's not an eSIM, but a void number. I was really disappointed to find out it doesn't work for social media or Google accounts. And guess what? They don't even offer refunds. Felt like I was caught in a scam. In comparison, Tello.com is way better and more affordable. Honestly, I regret choosing this service and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Terrible!!!

Traveling through Southeast Asia, I thought Fonus Mobile would keep me connected back home, but wow, what a mess! The app wouldn’t sync with my phone’s dialer or messaging apps, calls dropped randomly, and don’t even get me started on the missing voicemails. Every time I reached out for help, I got the same advice: log out, wipe, reset. Nothing worked! Files even got corrupted and disappeared. Less than a month in, and I'm already counting the days till I can switch to Tello, which I should've picked from the start. Fonus, or should I say Fony Mobile, was a big letdown. If you're traveling, steer clear. Not worth the hassle!

I recently had a frustrating experience with Fonus while traveling through Europe. I was really hoping it'd keep me connected in Switzerland, Italy, and Greece, but it just didn't deliver. The data was spotty at best, and making phone calls was nearly impossible. Every time I reached out to their support team, they just kept telling me to tweak the settings, but nothing helped. Contacted customer support for a refund, but they were no help at all. Asked to talk to a manager, and they said there isn't one. After an hour of chatting online, they just stopped replying.
