As a newcomer to trading and investing, I’ve found moomoo to be a great resource. The paper trading feature is a standout and the free learning materials are very useful. The app is simple to use and enjoyable. At present, I’m earning 6.8% interest on my idle cash, which outperforms what any bank is offering.

So far, things are looking positive. MooMoo provides useful info that I can’t get from other platforms, which is definitely a good feature of this app. However, the one downside I see is that it doesn’t have any benefits compared to other broker apps, especially in terms of daily transaction fees.

I recently joined Moomoo and money for a promotion they had running to receive partial stock shares just for joining and depositing. After 3 weeks and multiple contacts to a rude staff... I never received any shares. The account will be closed.

moomoo is a scam!!

I opened an account with Moomoo about a month ago, and it has been a nightmare. After I realized that Moomoo is phone app-based and not PC-based, I requested a transfer to Fidelity, but they have been blocking this simple request. Their phone app does not always work. I have a T-Mobile for my wireless phone service, and when I try to place a trade on my phone, I get a message saying network error. I called their customer service, and a guy in Hong Kong told me to change my phone wifi connection to that of a home or cafe wifi in order for the app to work. What is the point of a phone app that only works when you are connected to a certain wifi? Even Fidelity tells me that Moomoo is the worst in terms of giving customers a hard time in transferring their account out. I was duped by a moomoo promotion, and let me tell you, it is not worth it. I wish somebody had warned me about moomoo earlier.

I live in the US and have an SSN. I tried to open an account with Moomoo, a Chinese company, but my citizenship country was not on their website. After talking to customer service, they said they won't serve me because I'm from a risky country. This rudeness and racial bias is typical of Chinese people. I lived in China for 7 years and had the same issues with banks and other places, so I left. Dealing with another racist Chinese company in the US makes me very sad. Such businesses should be banned everywhere.

I don’t look back with much regret, but putting money into this site has been one of the worst decisions I’ve made. This site is a complete farce and just another scheme to grab a few dollars and, more crucially, your personal info.
