When I first booked through Farehutz, I paid $467 for my ticket. Later that night around 11pm, they called me saying my flight wasn’t available unless I paid $1100, which seemed strange and unfair. They changed my booking to a different airline at less convenient times for $700. I accepted since it was close to prices I found elsewhere. They couldn’t give me a seat until 24 hours before the flight. The good part is I finally got my seats and a confirmed ticket with no extra charges.

This was my first time using Farehutz and I was a little upset to see that the fare I bought was not possible since the airline had no more basic seats. But the Farehutz staff did a good job getting me another option and making sure I was booked fully with confirmation of getting my e-ticket.

VERY, VERY UNHAPPY!!!

I reserved and paid for tickets as shown on the website. Later, a customer service agent called to tell me my seats were gone and the next available flight was 2 days later, not even from nearby airports. I had no choice but to accept the 2 day delay, paying an extra $75 per ticket. Our stay at the destination was already short, and now it was even shorter. After I confirmed my changes, I saw on the site the same flights were still available. It really feels like a trick to force customers to pay more. On top of that, I was charged twice: $1600 to the airline and another $500 for booking services. I ended up paying $1600 for two tickets and $500 for services that cost me 2 days at my trip.

It all looks great until you realize it's not set. The flight you chose, gave all your info to so you could purchase it and then oops, it's no longer available at that price! Sound familiar?!

I booked a round-trip ticket through a third-party company (Farehutz) for TAP Air Portugal on 7/25/2023 in the amount of $826.14 and paid in full. The departing flight was scheduled for 4/23/24, returning on 4/30/24. Upon arriving to the airport, I was told by airline employees that I did not have a reservation for the flight. I have been trying to obtain information regarding a refund from the third-party company, Farehutz. However, they have not been cooperating. First, they blamed the airline for canceling the flight and informed me that TAP Portugal had not refunded them yet. During our most recent correspondence, Farehutz informed me that they have been in touch with your airline, who is blaming me for canceling the flight. Farehutz stated that TAP Portugal gave them the IP address from where the flight was canceled which matches my address. This is false information as I did not cancel my flight, and did not have access to changing the flight itinerary, as Farehutz booked my flight. When I asked for the IP address they were given, so I could cross check with any information I can obtain from TAP Portugal, they refused and proceeded to tell me that they don’t actually have an IP address, it’s the airline that does. It has now been a full week, and I’m continuing to get conflicting stories from Farehutz as to why they cannot refund me for services not rendered.

Cheats out to scam you

I attempted to purchase a ticket from them. After my transaction online I was sent an email stating it would take upto 24 hours for confirmation of purchase. I called them approximately 11 hours later and the agent tells me that they only have the return confirmed for the round-trip price I was being charged for. The agent then tells me as an alternative he can give me another flight for the same charge. While browsing the net I found them offering me a flight I could have purchased directly without going through them and it would be less than the $200 that they would make off on me. The agents tone of voice and threat I could not cancel as I had acknowledged purchase was totally unacceptable. These guys are probably sitting in India and try to bully customers once they had got their information. Other vendors like Kayak give you upto 24 hours to cancel for a full refund. Not only farehutz doesn't do that according to the agent, but it does not deliver. It is common business practice to return full credit and farehutz has demonstrated with a boastful voice that it won't do that. My advise to customers, stay away from the.

Bait and Switch Scam

They post tickets on other aggregate sites where the return trip is not actually available, they just advertise that it is. When you attempt to purchase the tickets, it will show "processing" and then they will call you and tell you that the return flight "just got purchased" and the only available return flights are much, much more expensive. The kicker is unless you clicked cancellation insurance they will refuse to refund your departure flight, despite it being sold as a pair with the return flight ticket. I saw that hours after the return ticket "just got purchased" that they still had the exact same fares posted. I am not leaving a name or order ID on this review because I do not trust this company under any circumstances, and they have enough of my info. Reps lied repeatedly and would transfer me back and forth with each one reading the exact same script. Despicable behavior.

Bought tickets on their site. They called back about an hour later saying the return ticket wasn't available (after I got confirmation before). They couldn't cancel because they had already confirmed my departure tickets but could get my return for 200 more per ticket. Told them to cancel or I'll have it canceled through my credit card company. They canceled it!!! The first person I couldn't clearly understand because he had such a heavy Indian accent. Found another person who had a milder Indian accent. I asked where they were stationed and they said Canada.. Maybe, but it’s really a coincidence.

Bate and Switch Operation

I was on an online flight booking service who directed me to this site for booking. Had to call customer service to complete booking. Rep tried changing me to another time (I booked flights and times I wanted). When I refused, rep tried to book me on another airline with additional baggage charges. Eventually, after a lot of argument I was sent to a supervisor who I demanded a refund from. Had I done what rep suggested I would have paid more which defeats the point of going through a booking service. In my opinion, this is a "bate and switch" business. Stay away!!

Danger, do not use Farehutz!

Do not use this site to buy tickets! You will loose your money and be very disappointed ! They advertised great ticket prices for our vacation so I booked 4 tickets with them. A few minutes later, someone from Farehutz called me and said that 2 travellers in our group could not be booked for the advertised price and that the other 2 tickets were non refundable. The rep wanted me to buy the tickets at a much higher price. At that point, I called my credit card to cancel the purchase. Farehutz is not a legitimate business!

I reserved a flight thinking it was a nice deal, got a confirmation number but the ticket wasn’t fully confirmed yet. They rang me and said the flight wasn’t there anymore and they would add $80 more to keep it. When I said I’d rather book with another airline, they told me the ticket can’t be refunded. Watch out for them, they attract you with cheap prices and then hit you with extra fees while saying no refund. Really bad pratices.

Do not deal with this business online. They published lower fares to attract customers. They will call you after booking that the airlines only approved the return flight. They will ask you and force you to pick another day. They will force you to buy their ticket cos the return ticket is non refundable. Please please be aware.

Bait and trap scammers. Booked direct return flights London to Bangkok. For pounds 1,412.51. Was told to pay extortionate costs for luggage. Change my flight to stop overs at extortionate price etc. immediately cancelled my credit card. Had numerous threats off company. KEEP CLEAR OF THESE SCAMMERS. YOU BEEN WARNED.

This is a total SCAM! The price shown is not what you get. Even when you check the box that says you're still thinking about buying the extra cancellation coverage it doesn't matter. They will not let you get your money back or cancel anything.
